Tallinn University’s Social Entrepreneurship MA program is actively contributing to the “Social Entrepreneurship and Enhanced Development-based Skills – SEEDS – in Georgia and Ukraine” project, funded by the EU4 Youth program. Supported by the European Union, this initiative focuses on developing social entrepreneurship to promote the inclusion of socially vulnerable youth and reduce poverty in Georgia and Ukraine. The project is being implemented by the Danish Refugee Council (DRC) over an 18-month period, with target locations in Georgia and Ukraine. |
Our role in the project involves sharing Tallinn University’s experience in social entrepreneurship incubation with our Georgian and Ukrainian colleagues. As part of this effort, we have developed and delivered a comprehensive Train-the-Trainer (ToT) program for professionals in Georgia. This program is designed to empower young social entrepreneurs by guiding them through every stage of venture development, from ideation to scaling, with a strong emphasis on practical, hands-on learning.
The Georgian incubation program includes detailed modules on stakeholder engagement, impact measurement, and business model development. These materials and insights are also being used to support social entrepreneurship training efforts in Ukraine, helping local trainers adapt and apply these concepts within their own context.
This collaboration is made possible by the combined efforts of several organizations, including the Youth Innovation Center (YIC), the Georgian Innovation and Technology Agency (GITA), the Mariupol Youth Union (MYU), Tallinn University (TLU), and the Association “Atinati.” Through this partnership, we aim to foster sustainable social enterprises that can make a significant impact on the lives of vulnerable youth in these regions.
We are proud to be part of this important project, which not only enhances our own understanding of social entrepreneurship but also strengthens the connections between Estonia, Georgia, and Ukraine.
