Goals of the course

To create preconditions for putting knowledge into practice and for developing one’s skills for developing social enterprises in different domains.

The internship gives opportunity for students to apply all the learned methods and theories on social entrepreneurship in practice under the supervision of experienced social entrepreneurs, CSR experts or any other relevant professionals.

Content of the course

The internship requires active participation from the students on the spot being placed to a workplace given by the host organization. Internship can be conducted both offline and online but real life action on existing projects is required in both cases.

Outcomes

The student:

  • has knowledge and skills as well as work experience in business development and social impact oriented work;
  • is able to analyse his/her work and to identify the need for professional growth.

WHAT IS

Social Entrepreneurship MA Program?

The Social Entrepreneurship programme utilises project-based learning methods where students are working in small, multidisciplinary groups, creating their own projects, mastering theories and knowledge while doing development work.

The programme is intended to be a creative hub, where students not only participate in an academic education but Tallinn University serves as a pre-incubator of new, creative initiatives that might be realized with the help of Estonian e-residency and a very supportive e-government system. Tallinn University’s social entrepreneurship programme pays special attention to ICT supported e-services, digital technology, governance and business solutions relying on the innovative context of Estonia and bringing this creative atmosphere closer to welfare programmes.
